News from our sister church in Tanzania, Africa: This month on April 29th 2010 is Pastor George and Joyce Makala's 10th wedding anniversary. Of course, they would like to thank God and are planning to have a little celebration. They ask for us to remember them in our prayers.

Remember: We can email Pastor George at
gmakala@hotmail.com

February 28, 2010

Pastor George Makala visited and brought the Message for the day; also reported that all is well in Tanzania, Africa; and expressed love and gratitude to the St. Paul family for all of their prayers and monetary support.

God has already defeated the devil; Job 1:1, when Satan came on the scene, God recognized him and set the boundaries for Satan to attack Job; Satan could only operate under God's conditions.  God will fight our battles... and we will win!  Based on the New Testament, we also believe that Jesus defeated Satan when He went to the cross and died for all of man's sin; with Jesus' death, we have the eternal victory.  Jude 1:9 - the archangel Michael did not try to defeat Satan in their dispute, but said, "The Lord rebuke you!"

The devil cannot kill us; he can only tempt us and attempt to discourage our faith in God.  Romans 8:6 - to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace; those controlled by a sinful nature cannot please God.  The tongue is the key to life and death - Proverbs 18:21; if/when we choose to speak negatively, we prophesize negativity; if/when we choose to speak love and peace, we can look forward to love and peace in our lives.

Praise Report from Pastor George Makala, Tanzania, Africa...

Greeting in Jesus' Name!

I am writing to report to you that after much agonizing and waiting, on September 14th electricity was connected to our church.
Thank you for your untiring prayer and support that made it possible to cover costs for this electricity.  As a result, now we can start numerous projects which require electricity to operate.  Otherwise, our ministry will improve as we can start holding night prayers and meetings.  We are now in a position to organize musical concerts, crusades, seminars and conferences.

I will be sending photos soon to you!!!

Dear friends,

Greetings from Dar es salaam, Tanzania.

I Pray this letter finds you well and encouraged in the Lord.

We continue to thank God for his goodness and his sustenence. He has kept us and we continue to trust him inspite of numerous challenges.

April is a rainy season in Tanzania. The ongoing rains come with many challenges. One of those challenges is flash floods that follow torrential downpour. Our city lacks drainage system and when it does rain water spreads everywhere.

Our church is located in a low lying area. Since we have not built a fence wall to keep water out our property is often flooded making it impossible to gather for services in these occassions.

Last sunday we had to cancel service because the driveway to church and the property in general was flooded. The solution for this problem is to built a WALL around church property. In the mean time we need to improve on our driveway.

Please receive these photos which show what we have been doing to secure our driveway so it is useful and safe to use in all weather. Each of those 18 tonne truckloads of dirt (crushed dust) costs $60. we need to fill the propert to raise the general level. To raise the entire level would cost about $20,000.

What we are focussing now is to work on the driveway. Which would cost $3000 to completion.

Please pray for provision.

We pray God's favor and grace for you and your families,

Pastor George

DAR ES SALAAM CHRISTIAN CHAPEL & LIGHTHOUSE

SHINING FOR JESUS IN AFRICA

"YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD. A CITY ON A HILL CAN NOT BE HIDDEN" Matthew 5:14

Dar es Salaam Christian Chapel is a non-denominational Pentecostal church dedicated to spreading the Gospel to win souls and then establishing them to fulfill their destiny in Christ and to do the work of the ministry.

CHURCH BUILDING PROJECT.

We are thankful to God for the successful construction of our temporary church building which we were so desperate for as a meeting place for our Sunday worship and a base for our operations!

What we need now is the electricity hook up with the electric company and a few other minor touches to bring it to the first phase of our project to completion!

Otherwise we would like to share with you a need for a fence wall around church property which will serve as buffer to keep flash flood water during torrential rainy season and also for security.

Because of our low lying location and the lack of drainage systems, our church is invariably flooded making it dangerous and impossible to hold services during such times!

OUR VISION:

To Spread the Gospel, Win souls, Disciple new converts and prepare them for ministry!
Eph. 2:10

OUR MISSION:

TO GLORIFY GOD IN TANZANIA

Please Keep us in your prayers for our four major projects this next year:

1. A Major Crusade in 2009

2. A Parsonage/Guesthouse

3. Finances to put a fence or wall around our property

4. A Day care center project to serve our children and their parents

A large crusade is underway. We intend to involve other churches in our city. We are expecting many souls!

Pray for provisions to start building a Pastor's/guest house right on the church property.

Pray for provisions to start a Kindergarten School. This is wonderful opportunity to reach parents of the children too!
